The walls are getting pretty thin. My neighbors keep trying to break in. Can’t they give me some time to be alone? And I don’t know what you’re going on about? But I know I don’t really want to work it out. Why can’t you just give me some space to be alone? And who’s that banging on the piano? Maybe they’re writing a song for me. I turn the radio on to see if I can sing along. And I’m yelling out 1, 2, 3 oh can’t you hear me on the other side? No. I guess not.
I think I’ll be alright. I think I’ll be just fine, cause I never needed you in my life. I was just looking for someone to make love to. I think I’ll be alright. Just build this life by myself. And I’ll never let anybody else in. I’m just looking for someone I can sing to.
All I need is some…peace & quiet.
This city’s getting pretty damn big, and I can’t find parking where I live. I’ve got to walk five miles just to get back home. My parents said they would be proud if I could find a job and move out. And I’ve got a college degree, but what the fuck does that even mean if I spend all my time making music (in my closet). What is it that I can’t see? I’m so desperate to figure it out. Can’t you hear me from the other side?
I think I’ll be alright. I think I’ll be just fine, because I never needed you in my life. I was just looking for someone to make love to. I think I’ll be alright. Just build this life by myself. And I’ll never let anybody else in. I’m just looking for someone I can sing to.
All I need is some…I SEE THE LIGHT!
